Jazzy's Vision Gone Wild

A week ago, Jazzy was at youth group where they talked about the horrible devastation in Japan. We’ve all seen the news, videos and specials about homes destroyed, lives lost and people left with nothing. Her heart was touched and she came home with an envelope that she randomly picked with an amount of $135 written on the inside. The kids were challenged to raise whatever amount of money was written in their envelope and this would be donated to help the people in Japan. They would each have until April 6th to bring in whatever money they were able to raise.

Excited, Jazzy came home and shared her plan to gather up all of her babysitting, her savings and left over Christmas money and put that toward her total. After counting it, she was short about $20 of her goal. She shared her intentions and her excitement of how close she was to her goal. I was touched by her willingness to give away all of her money to help people she would never meet. We then talked about how God blesses those who are willing to bless others. We also talked about what an amazing opportunity this was for her and how we should share this same opportunity to others and allow them to give and be blessed as well.

Jazzy agreed and decided to see just how much money she could raise starting from zero. She has shared her heart and her vision to raise money for the people of Japan with such excitement and enthusiasm. Her daddy, her friends, family and others have all caught her vision and have been inspired to give. She has since raised over $420 above and beyond her own money. Jazzy’s goal changes as the money raised continues to multiply.
Jazzy’s excitement and her sacrificial heart have inspired me to give. I am sharing this story with you and I’m offering you the opportunity to give and be a part of Jazzy’s donation. Let me know if you would like to help. Thank you!
